This porcelain spatula is made from a ceramic that has a low modulus of elasticity and a high yield strength. The physical properties allow the spatula to be made very thin yet remain strong and flexible. Because it is a ceramic, it will not contaminate the porcelain mix which would adversely affect the fired porcelain. However, because of these properties, it can be easily damaged or broken by being dropped or over-flexed when mixing porcelains. The blade is bonded onto the handle and cannot be replaced if broken. No warranty. Black.
