Fissure Scrapers
These two instruments are designed for carving anatomy on all surfaces of the half-wet porcelain. The Fissure Scrapers work extremely well when carving the cingulum lobe, and the marginal ridges, fossa, and pits of occlusal anatomy of posterior teeth.
Fissure Scrapers are a vital tool for carving or scraping away precise depressions in the half-wet ceramic. Various stains can be applied to create the illusion of decalcified areas or incisal opalescence. The ability to produce these internal color effects is the mark of a master ceramist.
Both Fissure Scrapers are made of colorful, lightweight aluminum shafts which have a friction grip area for more control. Both have precision-cut stainless-steel tips, which make them accurate and long lasting.
